Online Micro Interventions (OMIs) Studies
The Online Micro Interventions (OMIs) for Mood Management studies are based on the concept of agile design. Agile design aims to test small iterations of a product, gather feedback, improve the product and launch a new test. This process is being used to test OMIs focused mostly on Behavioral Activation that can inform researchers on how to develop more extended treatments. I have five articles published, two submitted, and one in preparation. Overall, we have been able to show that OMIs can produce small immediate improvements in self-reported mood and that the type of activities that participants engage in have a differential impact on their mood or enjoyment levels. Currently, we are testing if reminders can increase the outcome of the intervention and different recruitment methods.
